I did two sets of feathers. One on my DSM and one on Long Arm. I'm fairly comfortable doing feathers on my DSM but have only been at the long arm for a couple of months now. I choose a new pattern that I had not sewn on either machine. Used the same fabric and the same thread. What do you think, can you tell which was done on the DSM and which was done on the long arm?

My guess #1 long arm #2 dsm. My rationale is the fill appears tighter in photo 2 which suggests better visibility. There are two tiny spots missing fill in photo one. Both feather designs look beautiful. Which machine do you prefer for echo feathers?
I'm thinking #2 is your DSM they seem a little smoother, and you said you were comfortable doing feathers on the DSM, so that is my logic! Both are lovely though.
I'm with the others thinking that #2 is the domestic? Both are beautiful.
Yep #2 is the DSM, I'm still just a bit more comfortable with that one than the long arm. I do prefer to use the long arm as I can go a bit faster. But for the micro work, definitely like the DSM better.
They are both wonderful!
